Johnny Depp reunited with his old band

Johnny Depp played the role of a rock star in Florida this weekend, reuniting with his old band for a local charity event.

The performance was part of the Sheila Witkin Memorial Reunion Concert. Witkin was a well-known music handler in south Florida and one of her clients in the 80s was a rough and crumble rock circle called the Kids. After earning a mild reputation around Miramar, Florida, the Kids stirred to Los Angeles in a conjure for superstardom. They failed, but their guitarist a cuss by the name of Johnny Depp - ascertained that he was instead better at acting than shredding his guitar.

On Friday, 2,five hundred people gathered at Club Cinema in Pompano Beach, for a chance to see Depp and his old high band. Playing on a bill with such luminaries as Slyder, Tight Squeeze and Critical Mass (no, us neither), the Kids finally appeared and Depp rocked very sweatily through their 90-minute set.

The 45-year-old Depp played guitar and sang computer backup vocals patch his girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis, and nine-year-old daughter Lily-Rose watched on.

All payoff from the show went to the Dan Marino Foundation, which funds programmes for children with special needs.
